Ilija

Ilija Ivovic is a professional volleyball player with an illustrious career. As a Junior and Cadet Champion of Serbia, he quickly caught the attention of the Serbian Volleyball Federation, earning a place on the Serbian Cadet and Junior National Teams. Advancing to the senior category, Ilija became a two-time National Super League Champion and National Cup winner, representing Serbia in the prestigious European Champions League.

In Doha, Ilija continued his volleyball journey, playing for the Qatar National Team and clubs such as El Jaish, Al Ahli, Al Wakrah, Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), and currently Al Rayan, where he secured numerous trophies.

Coming from a volleyball-loving family—his father, Batisa, was a Yugoslavian National Team player, and his twin brother, Janko, was his teammate for many seasons—volleyball is in Ilija’s blood. Alongside his wife Mina, a former volleyball player, Ilija is passionate about mentoring young athletes in Qatar, inspiring them to chase their volleyball dreams.
